to Orchard House from Charlbury train station - on foot (approximately 10 minutes)

turn right out of the station entrance onto Forest Road/Dyer's Hill, following the road over the bridge and up the hill. At the top of the rise, take the right fork at the T-junction, into Market Street. Walk past the post office and small museum. At the Corner House and just before the Bull Hotel (very nice for lunch), turn left into Brown's Lane. 100 metres up the hill and just before the Co-Op shop, turn right into Poole's Lane. Follow the Playing Close around the corner to the left. Crawborough forks off diagonally right from the Playing Close. Walk up Crawborough for approximately 200 meteres. From this direction, Orchard House is on the left of Crawborough, immediately before a row of pretty stone Victorian cottages

to Orchard House from Charlbury train station (Burford/Wychwoods direction B4437)
